Visual Conversations
This summer Sunset Art Studios will be open for a series of collaborative studio days. Twice a month in June, July, and August, the studio doors will be open to be public. During this time studio artists and the Sunset Artist in Residence will be engaged in their own art-making processes (i.e. collage, painting, drawing, photography, digital technologies, etc.) and welcome artists and non-artists alike to join them in their work.
At each of these events visitors are invited to respond to a question. Some topics include art making and art's role in the community, questions about neighborhoods and cultural vitality, and your thoughts on art in response to change. Answers can be written, drawn, painted, etc. and pinned up on the studio question wall, or you can answer through social media with the hashtag #SunsetQ.
